Color Analysis

Color analysis is a way of understanding color. In simple terms, all color means something and therefore, when we understand this we can control the message we are sending out to individuals. This is hugely talked about and often considered a controversial subject, but the fact of the matter is that color does mean something to us. The question is, what does it mean?

The Psychology of Color is one way that we can understand this. For each and every individual, different colors represent different things. For example, they cause us to feel a certain way or to act a certain way. Here are a few colors and what they mean:

-Red: Red represents a power from within. It symbolizes passion, determination, and aggression while also representing a call to action. You will notice its use in restaurants as a way to get you to come to them.

-Green: Green is one that represents nature. We think of all things growing and fertile. Green is a symbol of life and natural elements.

-Blue: Blue represents the calmness and peace we seek. It represents truth and spirituality as well. Youth is another element found within blue.

-Orange: Orange symbolizes a lower level of power than red, but power none the same. It represents play, endurance, and creativity. Did you know that Lady Luck’s color was orange?

-Yellow: Yellow is one that symbolizes a different level of meaning. It represents such things as intelligence and energy. It symbolizes happiness, joy, and even wisdom!

-Violet: Violet is a fun one that represent the mystic, the royalty, and the magic world unknown!

-Indigo: Indigo represents its own ideals such as deep meditation, concentration, and intuition.

-White: Can you guess what white symbolizes? Think of a bride’s dress. It is to symbolize purity, cleanliness, and even truthfulness.

-Black: When you think of black, what do you think of? For many it is death and darkness. The unknown world perhaps? It also represents the Earth and stability and its hidden darkness.

-Gray: Gray is quite different than black. Not mournful or unpleasant it is a color that represents maturity and even security. It does allow for some level of sorrow as well.

-Brown: Brown symbolizes the Earth, again. It symbolizes also Earthly things as well. Brown is orderly, organized, and often represents lazy people.
